Mindful Vinyasa Yoga Tune Up® Flow
UN Secretariat. Hosted by the United Nations Staff Recreation Council - UNSRC
Yoga Tune Up® lunch hour flow is designed to counter desk posture woes and leave you reinvigorated, balanced, and ready to take on the afternoon with a clearer mind, fresher spirit, and happier body! Connect the body, mind, and breath through dynamic and creative sequences designed to maintain a strong focus on alignment and balance while integrating opportunities to explore. In the flow we often break down poses, play with fun and creative YTU poses and vignettes and integrate a therapy ball sequence to massage into fascia and high-tension areas. Mindfulness and breathing practices are integrated tohelp students cultivate a deeper awareness of the body, mind and breath connection. Leave feeling refreshed and energized to roll through your afternoon and evening.
Samara Andrade became passionate about using yoga for therapeutics and healing while working in overseas communities affected by conflict and violence. Supporting peace-building, social cohesion, and psycho-social recovery programs for communities, aid workers, military, and other caretakers led her to co-found Feet on the Ground (www.feet-on-the-ground.com). Samara is passionate about supporting students in cultivating a more innate awareness and connection to their physical, emotional and mental body. Samara has trained in biomechanics and embodied anatomy, trauma sensitive yoga, Yoga Tune Up, Mindful Yoga Therapy, and Trauma Treatment. Learn more at www.yogamara.org.
