Exploring Hands on Adjustments with Regards to the Subtle Body with Melissa Brasier and Richard Baronio
This workshop is a exploration of how to approach hands on adjustments in consideration to the charka system and subtle body energy. We will focus on ways to develop a sensitivity to directing prana while using hands on assistance that not only deepens the students' practice but deepen ones experience as a teacher.
Melissa Brasier is a 500-Hour Yoga Alliance Certified teacher. She began her teacher training in 2000 under the guidance of Jean Koerner and Alan Finger at Be Yoga in NYC. Her ISHTA Yoga classes explore athletic, graceful movement while flowing on the breath. She welcomes students of all levels to begin or continue their practice with her.
Richard Baronio has been practicing yoga since 2001, and has completed the 500-Hour teacher training at ISHTA. His approach to the body combines his Marma Therapy training with Alan Finger and the myofascial release approaches used by Glenn Black, Shmuel Tatz, and Ida Rolf. He specializes in working with yoga practitioners, helping them relieve chronic restrictions and extend their range of motion.
