Take Back Your Power: Join award-winning author Sweta Srivastava Vikram, at the release of her debut U.S. novel Louisiana Catch, and a team of esteemed women panelists working in wellness. Louisiana Catch (Modern History Press) is a book about a grieving daughter and abuse survivor who must summon the courage to run a feminist conference, trust a man she meets over the internet, and escape a catfishing stalker to find her power.
In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, there will be a panel discussion (featuring Sweta Vikram - Author, Tyvette Symone - ETI Teacher, Marissa Beckett - Director of Programs & Community Partnerships at the NYC Family Justice Center, Queens) on the need for dialogue about the impact of sexual violence on womens' lives, what can we do to better protect ourselves, and how yoga and meditation can help with the healing process.
There will be wine, words, book reading and signing, Q&A, and a short meditation led by Caroline Smith - ETI Teacher. We think you'll leave feeling inspired, grounded, and grateful.
Louisiana Catch is on U.K.’s “Best Books to Read in 2018” list.
This event is free though you must RSVP
