Join Tyler and Gibney Dance for a fundraising dance class - April 24th
Class Description: GDC’s Artistic Associates offer contemporary dance classes that deepen technique, enhance individual artistry, and offer opportunities to create connections with other class takers through interpersonal experiences forged in movement. Bringing forth a diversity of training and performing experience, each Artistic Associate crafts their own class influenced by these guiding principles and animated by their own personal histories and current investigations.
Beginning with somatic and self-reflective practices, classes then progress toward highly rigorous physical states created through experimenting with extremes: strength vs. tenderness, gesture vs. full body physicality, structure vs. play. This class arc is coupled with chances to observe and exchange constructive feedback with others. GDC values leadership-building along all entry points, and company classes reinforce a framework that embraces virtuosity in many forms.
