Lisa Brody

Lisa Brody began studying Iyengar yoga in London in the 1990s and moved to Venezuela, where she continued her studies with her teachers in the UK whilst also completing training in cranial sacral therapy. She began teaching yoga in 2001 in Venezuela, cultivating coffee on an organic farm, and writing. She studied and completed a 200-hour teacher training in Prana Vinyasa Flow with Shiva Rea in California where her understanding of the power of the breath and the benefits of a more flowing, feminine yoga practice profoundly increased. Since 2008, ISHTA Yoga in New York has been her home. In 2017 Lisa completed the 300-hour TT with the Trauma Center in Boston Massachusetts. She teaches TCTSY and trauma-informed yoga in Spanish and English in Venezuela and New York.
