Dhiren Rawal

Dhiren is passionate about the developing world, raising awareness and improving access to education and financial services for the poor in nations with particularly dire conditions.  He devotes a great deal of personal time and resources to related causes.  He has worked with a large global foundation on their programs focused on improving the availability of financial services for the poor, working closely with the payments ecosystem in Nigeria and South Africa. He is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement in New York. With more than 20 years of experience serving as a trusted advisor, he focuses on delivering business transformations and integrating complex systems.  In recent years, he has served in numerous interim CIO/technology leadership roles, most notably for a $1 billion not-for-profit organization, a leading mortgage servicing bank as well as a large professional services organization. Prior to joining A&M, Dhiren was the COO of a FinTech company focused on algorithmic trade execution & Smart Order Routing. He was also a partner in Accenture’s Capital Markets group, where he was instrumental in building their Capital Markets Data Management services business.  Dhiren earned a bachelor’s degree in business information systems from Staffordshire University in the U.K.
