Teaching All Levels and All Bodies with Dianne Bondy

As part of its Continuing Education curriculum, Exhale to Inhale (ETI) is delighted to invite folks who have not taken the trauma-informed yoga certification training to attend this session.

Many different body types and experience levels can appear in the yoga space. This session will give teachers an understanding of how to hold space that is supportive and inclusive to different body types and experience levels, rooted in the ETI principles of safety, simplicity, and choice making. Featuring Dianne Bondy and ETI's Trainer, Jenna Conner will lead us in exploration and discussion on how to be supportive and inclusive. Learn more about her work here.

After the session, participants will be able to:

  1. Guide students into yoga shapes that offer different options and use language that is more inclusive of different body types and experience levels

  2. Maintain an environment of safety that is inclusive to various experience levels and body types.

Yoga Philosophy and Trauma-Informed Yoga with Jesal Parikh

As part of its Continuing Education curriculum, Exhale to Inhale (ETI) is delighted to invite folks who have not taken the trauma-informed yoga certification training to attend this session.

Join us for Yoga Philosophy and Trauma-Informed Yoga featuring Jesal Parikh co-host of the Yoga is Dead podcast, and Amy Apgar, ETI Trainer, who will unpack the concept — trauma-informed — as it relates to the system of yoga by exploring the intersection of science & spiritual practices and the cultural context of both. Learn more about Jesal's work here.

Join us for a rich discussion with Jesal to examine the layers of social justice, appropriation, and legitimacy, leaving you better informed, to embody and guide this practice.

After the workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. think critically about the nuanced intersections between yoga and science

  2. understand indigenous models within the system of yoga and draw parallels with modern “scientific” models to help inform authentic teaching & practice
